Written from the perspective that regardless of whether you like it or not, everyone does what they want to do anyway. Actions or words can be hurtful, positive, life-changing, or innocuous. In that sense, being used by others is a fundamental of our existence, and you have to love yourself and accept that not everyone will love you. Knowing this, you can free yourself from unhealthy, revolving dependencies, and what you decide to do with your life, and who you share that with, is entirely up to you.
